Just Vent | Just Venting

There are a record number of people in this situation right now. Unfortunately, most members of older generations don't really understand, so we can't expect them to be all that supportive. I'm sure they mean well, so try to not let what they say effect you in a negative way; you are certainly not a failure. There is some sort of gainful employment waiting for you somewhere, and you won't find it if you give up now. Good luck!

And on the bright side, be thankful that you had some sort of closure when you got the call that said you didn't get the job, I've always found it ridiculously frustrating when I just don't hear back

Don't stress, my family tends to do the same, instead of being supportive and saying good luck next time, they would do the same and tell me what i should have done or w/e. When they do, I know they mean well, they want me to succeed but they are from the "older generation," so they let me know that by criticizing me.

Your not alone in this, many people are having trouble finding jobs, so just keep looking, keep trying, don't give up but don't let them bring you down. Goodluck :)
