Why is it some people call themselves programmers when their code is trash? Seriously, I have to clean up the system that a so-called programmer wrote and it is one of the worst platforms I have ever seen. Honestly, people who write code are not all programmers, some are idiots who think they are programmers because they can do simple echo’s. Programming is not for everyone and I wish companies would quite hired these idiots because all they do is leave large security holes, save user passwords in raw form, no SQL injection prevention, and redundant, duplicated code. OOP is the best way to write any system, OOP is not a simple include of files. I wish I could find this programmer and beat him over the head with a tire iron until I see his little brain fall out of his ear.
Good programming is not difficult, follow simple standards, learn security, and how to properly store information into a database. I am sick of these novices getting job because they come out of school with a degree that is useless compared to experience. Let’s face it, if you take a college class on programming, it is already obsolete standards and bad practice. When will companies learn this?
