If I have my earphones jammed in both ears, leave me the f*** alone; that's etiquette. But no, I'm the rude one for ignoring you, right? Nothing you have to say is important enough to disturb me in the middle of a Styx song, ESPECIALLY "Renegade". I will hit pause at the top of every hour to check in and receive instructions, so between those times, you can bite my a**, because this MP3 player is the ONLY thing keeping me awake.
Oh my god! I had a job where this was one of my biggest issues! Someone would say my name when I had earphones in, and then they would just sit and stare at me until I noticed them. What the fuck is wrong with people?
What the hell is wrong with YOU people?? If you are at WORK, you are there to WORK, and that should be your priority over listening to music! You are lucky that you are even allowed to wear earphones while you are working! I can't believe that you lazy ass entitled brats are going to one day be running our world. God help us all.
You have clearly never had a job like that then. I understand that I was lucky to be able to wear earphones, but it wasn't a job where I receive instruction. I knew my task for the day, and I would do it. The only time someone would talk to me would be to tell me something completely useless. I guess you would have to understand the situation and the people I was working with to understand how ridiculous it was for them to interrupt me. If you interrupted the music, you interrupted the job and the progress. THAT was my problem with someone bothering me when I had earphones in. So, you can think I am a "lazy ass entitled brat," but the fact of the matter was that I just wanted to get my work done. (I am #1, not the OP, btw)
If I was so awful at that job I wouldn't have been made a supervisor, so YOU go ahead and make yourself believe whatever you want. If you don't understand a situation, you should probably just keep your fucking nose out of it because you will always come out looking like a dumb ass (especially with responses that include a blatant lack of proper grammar and the word "whatever," with the petty attempt to show your dissatisfaction by putting three exclamation points).
Bosses and customers definitely need to treat their employees better. Look at the psycho flight attendant. You get more out of people when you treat them with respect. Hang in there, bud. Or flip out and slide down the emergency chute.
Firstly, the earphones aren't a privilege - they're a predetermined part of the job and I was advised to use them rather than the standard radio when the client was in. My job includes working independently for long periods without input from anyone. Secondly, music enhances my productivity and gets the job done faster. Thirdly, the only reason people interrupt me is to take me off the job I'm doing and stick me on some random nonsense that the client suddenly decided he wanted to see done first. Finally, this is Muttr, and I'm venting my frustration on the subject without worrying about maturity or reason. So if you got a problem, you can eat me.
