Just Vent | Just Venting

ok, i have had it!!!! i have tried to get a tutorial, preferably a video, on how to create my own icons, but cant find any. i dont want to use some, s*** program like favicon, i want to do it from scratch with inkscape or gimp!!!! i can make the icons, but dont know how to save them propery, as when i go to use them, i get the message " no icon files found" can some tell me please!!!!!!????????!!!!!!!!!
