Reflecting back, I also believe that school (K-12) is a complete waste of time. High school is day care for teenagers, and unless kids are taking AP or honors courses then they really aren't prepared for college.
In fact, the most painful part of college = freshman/sophomore level courses because kids are just so damn clueless and talk all that drama shit with one another wasting money not paying attention in the classes they are paying for.

there's no education in it. you're right; i'm through college and it's a waste of time. they want to keep you off the streets, basically, and to do pointless hours amount of work so when you work you don't complain. that's why they give you inane busy work which has no point.

yup, money. You can sidestep it if you have an immense amount of talent and discipline. Do you? You gotta be real sure because once you miss out on a chance to get an education, it almost never comes back.
