Why the hell do my college classes take attendance? If I don't care about being there, no one else should. I like to think that being in college means you can handle a little responsibility....and if you can make an A while not attending, they shouldn't have the ability to lower that because of attendance, since clearly, you don't need to be there.

I think that's pretty strange, too. Never did when I was in college.

Funny how someone said Jaire is an idiot when its probably very likely that he/she is well above the required intelligence for that class and at or very near a 4.0 GPA. The point is very valid IMO.

It always frustrated me in college when Id be forced to take a class I could have passed after reading the syllabus. If I'm going to be forced to spend thousands of dollars on an education, the least that could happen is the school teaches me something and not just stuff busy work down my throat.

I spent 4 years at Seoul University and none of my classes had attendance. My instructors would purposely find current information that differed from textbook to lecture during class and test upon new information. Compliance is evident when answers are obtained from text and not from in class hand outs :)
I agree anyways, many instructors from the one American college I attended (WasU) read verbatim from powerpoint. Many entry courses at WasU can be Aced as long as you have a pulse and breathing as well....
