I've heard pundits in the past complaining about our Robin Hood government, but something that never rang true. Then it suddenly hit me; they couldn't be more wrong. We have a Prince John government. We NEED a Robin Hood figure to empty the government's coffers and give the money back to the people who paid the taxes in the first place, and that doesn't include the welfare moms and hack artists who are receiving it now.

Wait, so we need a Robin Hood govt. to give us BACK the taxes we paid them in the first place? How about they don't confiscate so much in the first place? Every illiterate dipshit talks about fire departments and schools- not realizing local govts pay for that. The federal govt. wastes 50% of the budget on military, programs for the olds (social security, medicare), and interest on the debt. TOTAL f***ING WASTE.

(OP here) Well, yeah, ideally we'd get a government that would stop stealing from the honest, productive citizens. I really don't hold out much hope for that, from either side. The Robin Hood comment was just... I don't know. A metaphor, maybe.
