I know they have rights and I am glad they do, hell, I even have cousins that are muslim... It still doesn't dismiss the fact that Mr. President should have kept his mouth shut about being all for it! He should have just referred to the constitution and nothing more.

you people...we vote for the president to defend our beliefs and protect our way of life. We vote him in to honor our Constitution, among other things, and you people criticize him for it? Remember this country does NOT have a declared religion, therefore, that mosque has every AMERICAN right to be there. And, btw, he did mention the constitution if you actually listened. What you do is convince the people who want to build it there to make them change their minds, not whine to the President.

Open your fuckin eyes. We go to these muslim countries to 'introduce' democracy, tellin them its the best government because of the freedom it brings and here we go and contradict ourselves by tellin them they cant open their muslim synagogue near ground zero because its 'disrespectful'?! So not only does that make us paranoid, but also makes us liars? And you wonder why the muslim world hates us. I feel sorry for you if you honestly believe it has everything to do with religion.

There goes the term "we" again...You can't blame everyone for the bad decisions the government makes. I am not against nor for religion, but plain and simple, religion causes wars...if you are too blind to see that, or too dumb to realize it, then you are hopeless. If this actually happens, I foresee that "we" will be witnessing some nice big riots (wars) in the city.

There are many people already pissed about this, I am kind of in the middle, but I do see it as some what "disrespectful" - how couldn't you?
