So I'm sure you've all heard about the boy trapped in the hot air balloon?

So My grandmother just forwarded this e-mail to me stating that the whooooole thing was a hoax!!!! WWWWWWWWWWWTTTTTTTTTTTFFFFFFFFFFFFFF?!?!?!?!? Dude LIED about his 6-year old being trapped in hot air balloon? News/Media stations drop thousands of dollars to get the footage of the balloon! Helicopters are deployed to assist and capture more footage. The thing crash-lands in a field, and omg!? NO BOY!!! NOWWWWW It EXPLODES in the media WORLD-WIDE! The search is ON! Everyone and their brother is checking their back yards for the alleged box or crate that was attached to the bottom of the balloon that may have had the boy inside it. The news spread globally in the matter of a couple of hours! And the whole thing was a lie. NOW this guy is saying it was done for publicity of a TV show. WTF?! Are you s*** me?! You LIED the WORLD and now you want us to go watch your SHOW?!?!?!?!?!

Well geuss what! That's probably EXACTLY what everyone is going to do!!!! This is just as bad as the president lying about banging his intern! All a friggin Publicity stunt! Not that Bill Clinton was shooting for a publicity stunt, but it definitely got more people interested in listenting to what the president had to say to see if he'd drop another lie... Then it was all over Saturday Night Live for the longest time!

So now, this dipshit lies about his kid being up in the balloon and he's going to end up a multi-millionaire... for what? FOR LYING!

People have always like to watch 'train wrecks'. Don't know why. This poor excuse for a father needs jail time not air time.

Yeah but who can put him in jail for lying? What could they possibly charge him with?

I won't be watching his show if it ever airs just cuz of the way he tried to get publicity for it.

he should get a bill for the rescue & recovery that was done. that's unacceptable.

Filing a fraudulent police report. Probably just a fine, but they should take the kid away from him so he can't be used for his own gain.

My sister works as an administrative assistant in the CPS office in Colorado. They are really aching to get the hands on this guy. Unfortunately, the police have restrained them from even contacting the family until they have settled everything that they need to do. They're planning on having a full fledged consult with the family on tuesday. However, they feel that this gives the family too much time to brain wash their children in to believing that what they had done was a good thing. So the pschologists feel they may not be able to get a negative side of things, but they're going to start with the "lying is bad" perspective and "lying will get you in trouble." As it stands now, the children know their parents lied and they lied for something good. They will be scarred for life and will become liars for life thinking that it will always get them what they want.

HAHAHA! Your all clueless! He is making a NAME for himself!! That's how this society works! Look at Martha Stewart! She's got a HUGE name! She goes to jail, comes out, and she lands back on TV!!! So even if that guy DOES go to jail, he's going to get the show no matter what because everyone knows the name now.

comparing martha stewart's inside scoop to stock fraud is a tad different then lying about your son being trapped in a run-a-way balloon! then again they both did it to try to make money... so there really isn't a huge difference I guess.

WOW you must live under a very deep rock if you found out it was a hoax by now.

$100 says they make a reality show out of this: "Survive a runaway balloon ride for $1,000,000!!!"

What can he be charged for?? Are you kidding me!! When someone says a lie that requires the AUTHORITIES and rescue departments to set out on a search and rescue for a child that was known not to be missing - this is fraud. There are people who sincerely lost their children and to have the SCUM take away time from people who are sincerely in need... what a friggen piece of shit. This has happened before when a mother reported her child lost when she really wasn't. It was about a year ago but I'm not really sure. I do not watch the news because of bullshit like this.

As for making money off of this... technically he can't but we know he will. When someone makes money off of a crime, the profit goes to the state when the rightful owner cannot be found - ie money found in a drug bust. No one is like "hey! I'm a crackhead and bought $3000 worth off of him give me my money back!" This is a case where we all know who the culprit and the recipiant of the money is... The states should start making use of this law. I saw let the emm effer become famous - but work for free. (free being the state takes all his profits) he is such a leach for the lime light that you know he'd do anything to be faaamous... Give everyone in colorado an exonomic stimulous from the profits!! ;) C'mon you gotta admit that's funny and who doesn't want money?? Lastly, this is called a satire people so chill out and distinguish the sarcasm from the facts before tearing apart this post. Sincerely, -V.o.R.
