Being anything but white in America is to be a second-class citizen.

Have you every tried being white in America? It's a bitch. Primarily because so many people of other races bear grudges against the white people of today for the transgressions of the white people of the past.

You have equal protection under the law. Have you considered that, if your status is that of a second class citizen, it has something to do with your racial culture?

There is a half black, Hawaiian-born(and Hawaiians have a massive chip on their collective shoulder) president, and still you wail over the sorry state of race relations? I don't buy it.

For sure! For all you non whites, enjoy your welfare checks and government handouts. The rest of us will continue working hard and supporting your lazy asses.

Being white in this day and age sucks. Everyone other color can be proud of their race, but if a white person says they're proud, they're a racist. I hate being white most of the time just because it causes arguments.

I'm a white student that needs financial aid. I don't get much, and I struggle. I can tell you that if you are not white, you have many more opportunities for grants just because of your ethnicity.

If you feel like a second-class citizen it is because you are keeping yourself there. I don't feel sorry for you.

Wow, amazing that whites disagree with this sentiment. I thought they would be reflective and consider the fact that subtle forms of racism are still with us. Nah, that would be expecting them to think outside their own experience. The responses here are the reason that non-whites don't like whites, no matter how much we may pretend we do.

You tell em, #6. Resentment always gets everyone far.

#7- it does. Just look at the Jews. They were treated like outsider by whites, and they translated that resentment into dominance over white society. They have no illusions what white people are capable of; and they left nothing to chance. Other minorities will conspire in similar ways, if nothing out of self-defense.

#8 - what a pathetically bigoted sentiment.

#6 - Who here has said that subtle forms of racism aren't still with us? Whites are discriminated against as much as any other race - inside and outside the U.S. - and furthermore, it's socially encouraged to discriminate against whites. Why not try to get over your ridiculous racial grudge and live your life? It can't be fun stewing like that.

#9- you haven't said anything new. You're rehashing points that have already been made. The more you attempt to deny the problem out of existence, or even more incredible- try to argue that whites have it harder, simply reinforces the OP's likely point- whites have privelege and choose to be unaware of it.

Actually... being anything but rich in America is shit right now. Doesn't matter what color you are, poverty fucks everyone.

I like how everyone is calling the OP an idiot. Look what happens when you try to say something truthful; they try to shut you up and insult you en masse.
