What do you expect -- people need money to live. If the government won't give it to him, he has to harass you for it. That's what happens when you get rid of welfare.

My neighbor told this story. His welfare was going to be revoked. So in a meeting at the social services, he told them, "If you take away my welfare, I will just have to go into a grocery store, pack my cart with food, and walk right out without paying for it. And when I'm in court being charged, I'll say I'm innocent. I had no money, my last support -- welfare -- was cut off, and I needed to survive." He said that, and they stopped threatening him. She realized if society doesn't pay for welfare, they'll pay for the prisons and courts, or for they'll pay homeless beggars, or they'll pay in the goods that are stolen from them home. Either way, someone has to pay for it.

So what was your neighbor's reason for not picking up a second job or maybe working harder at his current job? Thats the exact entitlement problem people today have. Want want want want but dont want to earn it. FK that. Let his ass rot in a cell and make him work there to get food. No more hand outs.

I see people abuse the fuck out of welfare all the time, and it pisses me off. Welfare should be strictly used to benefit their child, not to buy them that brand new $1000 pocketbook/handbag or whatever they call it. If you're one of these people, you do not deserve the welfare, fuck off.

This is why Obama won... everyone wants everyone else to do their dirty work and pay for everything they have, you know what, FUCK YOU!

#1 if you're so content with handing out your hard earned money to people who would rather beg than go pick up a newspaper and job hunt, please take your check every week, tell your kids they dont get as much because someone else is going to suffer. Yeah so more about this guy... He was LITERALLY trying to start a fight with everyone he walked up to! I saw him walk up to these two people (male and female), put his hand out, asked for money, they said no, and he barged right through between them and like shoulder checked the guy as he went by.

#3 No one is getting more than $500 a month on welfare. There is no one buying designers handbags. Go educate yourself somewhere other than popular magazines.

#5. How dare he?! Really, he was angry and frustrated? That the only thing he knows how to do to survive isn't producing any results? Homeless people aren't allowed to be angry! Powerless people aren't allowed to be angry! They should be happy that they get to stand on our beautiful sidewalks which they didn't even pay to put there. $500 a month eh? bullshit. You clearly need to educate yourself. Since welfare depends on many circumstances, and there are many types, the amount giving out for it varies across the board. The more kids you have, clearly, the more money. That is just one thing that affects it. A majority of people get more, due to the fact that they manipulate the system and get it when they don't need it.

Welfare is a handout. Some people need it but the fact remains that a large portion of people who receive it simply abuse the system over and over and over. Dont go crying to the world how youre going to break laws just to stay on welfare. Get off your lazy ass and get a job, get a second job. Work your ass off and earn a living. You dont have to like the work but an honest paycheck is nothing to be embarrassed about.

UK has permanent "Welfare" Called Jobseekers Allowance, so long as you are actively seeking work, or making out like you are, you get money £120 every 2 weeks, and rent paid, and free healthcare etc for as long as you like, it doesnt stop homeless beggers, just makes the homeless beggers get treated worse as it is 100% their choice to beg, and / or they have an addiction that lost them their homes

Yes people do receive more than $500 a month on benefits, some people receive that per week, like above, the more kids you have the more benefits you receive, alot of people on benefits get more money per week than those of us with jobs
