Unless you plan to travel internationally, the only reason you would need to speak Spanish in the United States is if you're a drug dealer or a border guard. Why don't schools have more variety in their language education? Maybe an elementary curriculum in basic linguistics, so kids have a head start in learning languages in general, and then middle school and up, access to more than just Spanish. I'm just loving the way people cross a main road these days. Without looking in any direction and then walking in the middle of one of the lanes, which is always the one you're traveling in.
