I know right? People think broadly about Europe being diverse, but actually it is a set of provincial nations - each of which is relatively homogenous, lacking diversity and mired in backwards prejudices about the other nations and people. Almost all European nations have under 5% non-white minorities. Compare this to 30% in the US. The British hate the French, the French look down on the Italians, the Greeks hate the Turks, and on and on. You look at the EU and wonder why its dysfunctional- its largely because each European nation itself is foolishly jingoistic and distrusts the other nationalities.
