I'm almost 16, pretty, smart and interesting. Guys don't seem to approach me. I think I seem too intimidating, but I can't figure out how to come off more easy-going. Oh, and I've never even kissed a guy. Fantastic.
Hey I had a similar situation a few years ago....people STILL ask me why I don't have a boyfriend. Well, first there has to be a guy interested in me right? Yeah, that's not working out. When I thought it was something about me that guys didn't like, I tried to figure it out. I have been told I'm pretty, I'm smart, I'm athletic, so I couldn't figure out where I was going wrong. Then I had my first kiss at 16 and decided that I didn't need to date anyone or have anyone like me to feel good about myself. I know a ton of guys and I still never had any of them like me enough to date me, but I soon found out that I wouldn't want to date any of them anyway. Do you realize how immature guys at our age can be? I don't know why I would want to have to deal with someone like that when I can be hanging out with my friends and living my own life.
So, basically what I'm saying is: forget about the guys and LIVE your own life! If you stop looking the right guy will come along and see what's amazing about you. It doesn't mean that he's "the one" but it will make it more worthwhile if he appreciates you for who you are and you appreciate him. It can be difficult when your friends all have boyfriends, but just remember that your time will come and you just have to find yourself before you can be with someone else. Go have fun with your girls, wait for the guy to come along because your girls will always be more important anyway : )
Its about power, males of a certain age will kick each others head in all day long but are shit scared of females and don't know how to act. Girls normally end up with older guys because of this, it may seem weird because in most parts of life the guy is the stronger but not at your age you need to lead, believe me they're crapping their pants be gentle, aware that to be comfortable even with someone you're maybe not attracted to is a great gift. good luck
