What's so wrong with being straigh edge...? I feel like I'm the only 14 year old that really doesn't want to do drugs. Sure, I'm curious, but that doesn't mean I'm not aware of the effects and the fact that they aren't worth it.... I hate getting made fun of because I want to make something of myself...
Yea, #1 is correct... I have never done drugs, and refuse to either. I have seen way too many lives ruined because of them, I am not even interested. Most people do that shit because they can't have fun otherwise, and to me, I pity them for that. If you need to do anything of that sorts to have fun at all, you should seek some professional help! You are lucky you've figured it out so young ;)
Theres nothing wrong with being a straight edge, its just that many straight edges have this attitude that they are superior to people who have tried drugs. I mean, everyone is free to make their own decisions about how to live ones life, but regardless of a person's choices, drug free, or pot please, no side is better than the other...
Unless we are talking about meth, in that case yeah eww... they suck... And heroine... Pretty much every drug except for one really...
hey. I'm 17 and I don't swear, drink, do drugs or smoke. I understand what its like to have people constantly trying to get you to do those things. My friends all have done or tried drugs since they were 14 or fifteen and I have faced them trying to get me to do so. I never have nor will I. Stay strong ok. I am proof that its possible to stay strong and straight edge. Keep your head high and do what you know is right.
Thanks everybody. :) I recently found out that the people I know who want to do them don't like straight edge because they try to preach to everyone how much better straight edge is than others. I've found if I just say nah, I don't do that, and just keep my cool, and keep saying no, they respect it. And the problem is that they hear so many older kids talking about it, it makes them feel cool to do it too. This is usually around when they start experimenting with them, at least, all the people I've talked to said that.
