No one ever knows until they are diagnosed. My daughter had PTSD after being attacked and I too had it when I found about the attack. Time and positive thoughts are the cure. My daughter tried the tranquilizers given to her to cure the insomnia because of the incident- it just made her feel more helpless. No matter what people say, medical prescriptions aren't the answer. Keep busy and doing good for people takes you mind off it.
I suffer from PTSD from being in an emotionally abusive relationship.Try to keep busy, exercise, make sure you stay hydrated, eat healthy foods. If you and your doctor feel meds are right for you, that's your decision alone.I'm on meds, they have helped me tremendously.
whenever i do research on PTSD i always come across the fact that its the result of a traumatic event...but #2, i have a similar scenario where its an ongoing abusive relationships problem and the memories of the same relationships ive had forever...so what type of PTSD is this called?
