I've found that oxtails, while visually disgusting, are tasty and packed with protein that is easy to digest. They're also fairly inexpensive. Heavy cream and full fat (Greek) yogurt are awesome. Switch to whole milk if you haven't already. Try to stay away from highly processed foods like white sugar, white flour and vegetable or canola oil; these are full of empty calories that will make you balloon up in all the wrong places without providing any nutritional value. Taking extra Omega-3s is also really helpful for your appetite and other nervous system functions. They make fish oil pills now, which is a nice alternative to straight cod liver oil. Nordic Naturals is the best brand. Or try having fresh fish a few nights a week. Also, if you're looking to take a supplement, make sure that it says Whole Food on the label. The ingredient list shouldn't be a list of chemicals, like calcium carbonate, potassium iodide, magnesium oxide, etc. Instead look for vitamins that have REAL foods in the ingredient list.
As you can tell from this novel, I've been battling this problem for quite some time. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with!
Uhm, why has no one addressed the fact that you can't CHOOSE where you gain or lose weight? You get to stick with what you are born with.
You can work out and eat right to improve your overall health and how your look (which I encourage, and think is a great ambition) and working the muscles in the areas that you want to improve may contribute more shape as the muscles tone up, but if you have a flat butt and tiny boobs, you can't magically gain weight in those areas without plastic surgery.
My suggestion? Just learn to love what your genes have given you. Focus on your health, first and foremost. You might find that you like what you look like even if you wish you had more plump in certain areas.
