It really bothers me that fast food works cannot understand what I am saying and I cannot understand what they are saying. It also bothers me that as these works talk with each other, while they work, they do not speak English to each other. They talk to each other in Spanish, incorrectly translating what I ordered. The fast food and restaurant companies should mandate all works must speak English not only to customers, but to each other while at work!

I totally agree. Pisses me off also. It's like going to these asian places that do manicures. They could be talking shit about you & you'd never know it. My neighbor's are from Macedonia & even though they speak very good english, she says it's so much easier to talk to one another in their native language. Long as she keeps bringing us her wonderful homemade still hot from the oven bread, then I don't care how she speaks...LOL.
But I do understand what you're saying.

It really bothers me that people get their panties in a wad over people who don't speak the English language but have little mastery of their own language themselves. It's usually the ones that can't spell ENGLISH worth a crap who are bitching about everyone else. Get an education and we'll care what you think.

#3, its the complete disregard for the English language as a whole that really pisses people off. The fact that these people make no effort to learn or use the native language of this country is ridiculous. Whats worse is, its considered acceptable.

Sure something like a cheeseburger is petty and easily overlooked, but, imagine if it was your surgeon who goofed on your order. You go in for a minor knee operation and receive an amputation instead. Why? Because your medical team loosely translated the procedure and mixed it all up. A far cry from add mayo and hold the onion but the point is clear. It would be entirely unacceptable!

If you wish to work within the public sector of an English speaking culture, learn to speak it and use it!
