Well, your observation -- that there has been so much talk -- makes sense. As this year, we are closer than ever to the year 2012. It's natural that the closer we get to something, the more we talk about it.

Conversation on the year 2012 has been going on forever. You just haven't been focused on it because it wasn't in the media. And you, being the busy person that you are, only ever learn about something when it shows up in the media. So when you watched the trailer for this movie, you finally tapped into the stream of information and discussions on the idea of the year 2012.

Me personally, being someone who knows of the beauty and goodness that will start to appear on this world around 2012, I am disappointed by the tone that the fear-mongering media have chosen to spread. This movie is their Final Attempt at creating fear in the hopes of control and disempowering the masses. And I say it is their Final Attempt, because mass consciousness has reached a tipping-point where we will no longer allow others to control us using fear. This is the Final Attempt that the governing forces on this planet will have before their dreams of control vanish into history, and we see the dawning of a new era filled with freedom for the masses, government that is satisfying, and unconditional love for all human beings.
